WHAT IS NONI?
WHAT IS IT?
Chances are, you’ve heard of noni but you’re not sure what it is. No wonder. This green, knotty tropical fruit is about the size of a potato, and is only found in the South Pacific. For thousands of years, only the islanders have known about it.
But in the early 90s, food scientist John Wadsworth got wind of noni fruit, and he went to Tahiti to find out more. What he found was a fruit high in antioxidants and rich in a history of helping people. He partnered with other scientists and spent nearly three years formulating TAHITIAN NONI® Juice—a product that has never been duplicated.
The special formula, based on the ancient recipes of the islands, is made from straight noni fruit puree and includes grape and blueberry juice concentrates (10%). These ingredients enhance the flavor of the juice and research shows that they have a synergistic effect on the entire product, actually making it more effective.
Morinda citrifolia grows in many different parts of the world in mainly tropical environments and produces a strong-tasting fruit that has innumerable health benefits.
In the South Pacific and Southeast Asia, knowledge of noni's healthful benefits has been passed from parent to child for countless generations. Families used the noni fruit both internally and externally.
Though noni was widely used and cherished in such areas of the world as French Polynesia, its secrets remained unknown to the rest of the world for thousands of years. In the twentieth century, ethnobotanists interested in methods of native healers began to study this remarkable fruit. Even the United States military, during World War II, studied the usability and benefits of the noni plant, which were included in the Military Field Handbook for Survival.
